How we handle information
Our standard is simple: start with available seller specifications and other clearly identified source material, then explain what those details may mean at camp. We do not turn a listing claim into a fact merely because it has a neat number attached.
- Source use
- We aim to identify whether information comes from a seller listing, a stated specification, or our interpretation. Specifications can change, conflict, or be incomplete.
- Comparisons
- We compare like with like where possible, especially dimensions, packed size, weight, ratings, materials, and price. We flag mismatched units or missing details instead of filling gaps with guesses.
- Corrections
- When we find a material error, our standard is to correct the relevant statement and make the correction clear in the page content. We do not silently present uncertain information as settled.
